Setting up a wev TV station

Dear all,

I am in the very initial stages of looking at what it takes to setup a web based TV broadcast station.

I am very happy with the means of creating, editing, scheduling and outputting the content. I am also conversant (although in a limited way) on the aspect of end users connecting to the streamed media output. However there is a weak link I am really after some instruction and advice on please.

I am expecting to use a dedicated server housed in a datacentre with a large bandwidth allowance as the final broadcast point, to which users will connect and view the TV station content. However, all the media will be first broadcast from my home/office/studio to the dedicated server in the remote datacentre.

How then do I get the stream from my home pc to the dedicated server? I need a constant feed to the dedicated server if I want a rolling 24 hour scheduled program, or I need to upload content in big chunks regularly.

how do I do this? Especially how do I do it if I am in the UK but the dedicated server I want to use is in the US?

No ideas, so please let me know what you think/know.

cheers,
jireh
