What is better for database ? Raid or not Raid ?
I have a server that is dual opteron 242 , 2G ram . and 2x80G IDE Hard disk . So what do you think is better for busy database server between this 2 config : Non RAID and a first hard disk will be for system , httpd only and a second hard disk will be for mysql only . Or : 2x80G IDE on RAID 0 ? I have not another way because this database center dont have SCSI or SATA as well .
