Gentoo users

Hi all,

I am posting here because I am not getting a response from the Gentoo help forums.

If there any Gentoo users among you who could give me a hand, I would greatly appreciate it. My issue is that I cannot execute any "custom" commands at all. However, all system installed commands, like make, named, nano, grep, top, awk, etc. work.

For example, I tried installing the Sun Java System Application Server (SJSAS). I downloaded the Linux bin file, and tried running ./sjsas<snip>.bin, after chmod, of course, but got the following:

Code:
lastochka root # ./sjsas_pe-8_0_0_01-linux.bin
-bash: ./sjsas_pe-8_0_0_01-linux.bin: No such file or directory
I was running as root. The system is an AMD Opteron 244 (amd64) running kernel 2.6.5.

Please PM or email me at max@nokhrin.com if you can help. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Max
