Frontpage + FTP, please assist
I have a machine with a few hundred domains on a Debian
distribution. I am running Apache 1.3 and have Frontpage
Server extensions installed. Apache runs under user
<frontpage> and each user (home directory) has its own
corresponding unix user, except for those clients that
have frontpage installed.
The problem now is that frontpage users cannot modify
their files when they try to FTP into their account and
they have to uninstall the extensions first.
Personally i despise frontpage extensions, but customer
is king and some of them want to be able to use both
FPSE and FTP at the same time.
My problem is, i havent gotten it to work or perhaps i
do not understand the theory behind the permissions
correctly.
The FTP server is set to work according to UID:GID I guess
this conflicts ?
Please assist.
