mmcache using 600 MBs?

hello

i have configured mmcache to allow 64 MB of cache
when I runned <? mmcache(); ?> i got:

Memory Size 67,108,820 Bytes
Memory Available 23,265,996 Bytes
Memory Allocated 43,842,824 Bytes

the problem is that the /tmp/mmcache dir was using 600 MBs

any ideas on the reason?
