Sending HTML Email - What am I doing wrong!?

I've been playing with a simple html email I've worked on tonight for a client of mine and while testing it I noticed it worked fine in OE, etc but in Hotmail and such it works but attaches each image as 0.01kb.

When I forward other html emails I have received to my hotmail, this attachment issue does not happen.

I have a feeling all the images are being sent along with the email. The html file is only 4kb yet the email being sent is 22kb.

In the html file I have all absolute url's to the images...

Does anyone know what's wrong!? or how I can avoid the attachment of images, but instead have them load via domain when user opens email!?
