Secure Subdomain Help Required
I am in the process of setting up a hosting service, and i have setup a couple of subdomains for my site to make the client area and order section a little more tidy. (Just a bit of background, I have a dedicated server which has cPanel / WHM on it and the domain I am using as my hosting site is hosted on it!).
With regards to my order subdomain, I need to use it on a secure connection. I have installed a SSL certificate for the subdomain, however whenever I typed https to access it via a secure connection, it wouldnt work.
I have contacted my tech support people, and they advised me that it wouldnt work because of the way cPanel / WHM works, and that I would actually need to create the subdomain I required as an actual account.
Indeed, I have created the account, and I can now access the subdomain via a secure connection.
However, because this new account is separate to my main hosting site, my client software will not work as it will not allow linking to external sites!
Can you tell me if there is a way at all I can get a subdomain created on my main domain to work with a secure connection, as if I cant, it will create a lot of problems.
