New server - should I use phpsuexec or not?
I am about ready to get a new dedicated server, to be used for shared hosting and reseller plans, etc...One difficult decision I am facing is whether to enable phpSuExec or not.
I've spent a good hour reading through the forums about phpsuexec, as well as experienced it personally both on and off with various reseller accounts and helping people install scripts over the years.
For the experienced web hosts and technical people on this forum, do you recommend enabling phpsuexec?
Purpose of the server is "general shared web hosting". I expect to only have a few hundred accounts on the server, and since I offer reseller accounts I will have little to no control over many of the actual domains and what they are running.
The server will probably be a dual xeon 2.8ghz with 1gb RAM. (I have heard that phpsuexec sucks up a lot of power since php must run as cgi.. is it worth this cost?)
Any advice?
