Downgrading problem
Good afternoon everyone,I had originally created a thread before asking to downgrade from XP home to windows advanced server 2000.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Here is the problem,
Windows XP will not allow to downgrade, so I called up dell support and they walked me through bypassing XP.
This would have worked well and fine except the windows 2000 server is a copy I was given by my boss. I used nero to copy the disk and made it bootable. In fact the CD works perfectly fine untill (it auto opens when clicked) but does not open when I use MSdos mode.
Someone had suggested I make another partition and install on that, except like I said before it wont boot unless I physically open it in windows.
Iv tried using bootable floppy disks (bootdisk.com), but when I do that my computer forces me to spit out the floppy in order to continue.
Im totally out of ideas how I can install, if you have any wise thoughts (besides buying a whole new disk) then please give feel free to post a reply
