The reason I ask this is that in another thread, a webhost today admitted the following:
...we had to combined servers temporarily...
This means the (former) customer who made the allegation that his dedicated servers were implemented on a VPS was right. The other interesting point, which I deemed worthy of a thread, is whether or not you can check this? I would suppose not being able to rebuild the kernel would be a tipoff, but that seems a drastic method of checking?
Is this behavior of the host commonplace or outrageous?
