I've been looking at previous threads about this issue and the best way seems to be to redirect the dns ip's of the old server to new one. I'm using WHM. My problem is that I don't have root access on my old server, and can't change my own dns zone. Is it possible to change the individual dns zones of the domains I host to redirect them to the new server?
For example one dns zone is currently:
@ 14440 IN SOA ns1.registerhome.com. root.endeavour.dnsvelocity.com. ( ..... )
could I change that to be my new nameserver and new hostname?
There's also the domain entries
domain.com 14400 IN NS ns1.registerhome.com etc. and various other entires pointing to the old server ip address.
