Hi, I want to move one server running windows 2000 to another better hardware on same windows 2000 OS. The only problem I am facing at the moment is user accounts migration. I have copied the SAM file using Acronis True Image Server from the source but can't replace with the existing one on the target server. I know windows does not allows SAM file copying or replace. Is there any way to copy all user accounts to another server or simply, just copy and replace the SAM file to some other machine?
Forgot to mention that the machine is connected remotely at the moment. Its a DELL Power Edge machine and the only solution coming to my mind is to goto the NOC install linux with dual boot and copy the file. Any other suggestions?
