Help with round robin dns
First let me show up the records for domain.com:---------------------------------------------------------------
domain.com. 14400 IN NS ns1.domain.com.
domain.com. 14400 IN NS ns2.domain.com.
domain.com. 14400 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.210
localhost.domain.com. 14400 IN A 127.0.0.1
domain.com. 14400 IN MX 0 domain.com.
mail 14400 IN CNAME domain.com.
ftp 14400 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.210
ns1 14400 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.210
ns2 14400 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.211
www 60 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.210
www 60 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.242
www 60 IN A xxx.xxx.xxx.242
---------------------------------------------------------------
So in this configuration, server 242 will have around 2/3 of the traffic while 210 will have around 1/3, correct? This is a cpanel box with nameserver turned on. I tried to test the probability by pining the domain many times to determine the ration and found it's still 1:1, not like 1:2
Any suggestions?
