Colocation questions
First let me tell you that I run a web-hosting company for around six months as a reseller so I have no clue on collocation. I am hosting on Cpanel.
I got, for very cheap, 2 servers with the following specifications:
HP DL380 XEON 3.2/533
1GB RAM
1MB L3 cache EURO XEON 3,2G,
1MB CACHE
2 x GIGABIT NIC
SMART ARRAY 5i Controler
CD-ROM
2 X 72GB PLUGGABLE ULTRA320 15K
2 X 36.4 PLUGGABLE ULTRA320 15K
HP StgWks DAT72 int tp drv for Proliant Hot-plug
I intend to collocate them. I have the following questions for you:
1) Do I need additional hardware or how should I optimise my hardware?
2) I plan to install Cpanel. How hard is it going to for me to support my clients and be able solve at least 90% of their issues?
3) What additional software ( OS, Web Server, etc.) should I choose?
