Backup mail server w/qmail
I have a dedicated server that is mostly used for DNS, web, and mail (pop3) hosting. Most customers use their mail client to get their mail from this server. This works fine, however I now have a situation where the server is hosting the DNS for a domain, and is also a backup mail server for that domain (lower priority mx record). When I shut down the customer's mail server, mail then arrives at my server. Fine. The problem is that when his mail server recovers, qmail does not forward any mail that it has received during the outage.
I currently have all my hosted domains listed in the rcpthosts file, and nothing but "localhost" in my locals file. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what my problem might be?
