Linux top command httpd/mysql being listed cumulative
I feel a tad embarrassed about this one as I'm sure I've just missed something simple, but I'm stumped with it so I hoped someone could point me in the right direction here.I was used to the top command displaying individual httpd/mysql processes, but a couple of days back I've found it only lists one process for each which is, perhaps, a cumulative? The problem is I don't know how to restore it to it's previous state/set-up. I've tried the S switch but it made no apparent difference.
So, where have I gone wrong?
The main reason I believe this to be a cumlative/similar is that the httpd process ID isn't listed when I check the apache status but before I'd use top to find out which httpd process was causing most load, apache status to find the script, etc.Before:
