Getting Computers Back onto a Domain
A former client of mine has had a wicked problem: Their PDC crashed. Of course, no backups were done in the past year, and they are screwed.
The hard drive has apparently fritzed. While OnTrack works on this, they want me to provide them with their profiles, which were all user accounts on the old domain. My question is how do I get them back onto a domain, when the PDC no longer exists? I know that simply naming a PDC the same thing and giving them all the same user names and passwords will work, will it?
What is the best option for these folks. I feel obligated only because Techies are making the problem worse, but I'm not on the hook by any means.
