Moving email scanning to another machine
I would like to move spamassassin and antivirus scanning of email from my primary pop/smtp/imap/http mail server to a dedicated box where all this server does would be scan incoming and outgoing email.
Anyone have some ideas how to make this work? I am using qmail (not that it matters really as I am looking for the concept) as my email servers running on linux.
From what I have gathered so far, smtp relaying would be about my only option if I did not want to setup NFS shares between the machines.
