How many users can a simple phpmail server handle ?

Hey,
i been wondering bout how many users can
Celeron 2.8Ghz 533 Cache
1 GB RAM
with phpmail and sql databse installed handle ?
I'm not talking about smtp server, the 1 that users read/send mail from.

Any formula here ? 50Mhz/user .. ram/users ?
