httpd processes overwhelmes my server
i wanted to know if there is someone who can help me with a problem of my server.
the technical dept. told me that I've 905 httpd processes.
the httpd server will only handle 150 connections at a time. Any more than that just wait until it completes it's processes. That's why it's taking so long
He also told me, that you can increase the maximum number of connections it will take, but you can't set it too high. If it's too high then all those processes will be active which will increase the load on your server a huge amount.
how can someone help me, so that I will be ble to increase the performance of the server.
All the websites on the server takes a lot to open.
