NAS - Help

We are reaching a point where we can't provide the space that is needed. We currently have around 1 Terabyte of space via HD's inside servers. I have been reading up on network attached storage (NAS) and was wondering if anyone is using it and can provide some general information (i.e.: how much would it cost, where is the best place to buy, how to configure,etc..).

Oh, and this is for our free hosting server... so it’s not just a matter of a paid hosting issue. With paid hosting, we just add more servers and cluster them. But here we need a central storage place for all the member files. Right now we are running a configuration with 1 ultra-high end server handling all the storage and apache/proftpd and a high end mysql machine doing all the back end work. The high end machine is full to capacity with 146gig SCSI's... and now we need to find a way to add more space capacity.
