We have a customer who hosts a political blog (MT) which, during the past few american debates, has caused some serious performance problems, apparently due to the rapid-fire user postings (several per second at times) and associated 'rebuilds'. We helped them upgrade to MT 3.1 which was supposed to help, and it did somewhat.
Can anyone recommend a full-featured blog similar to MT which can handle high posting traffic? We have other sites (even forums) which do 2-3 times the #requests on the same load-balanced cluster, so it really seems to be an issue with Movable Type.
