syslogd crashing (trustix + Cpanel)

That occurs every 8 and a half minutes. I've updated the kernel and cpanel ..rebooted. Still the same thing every 8 minutes.
This is a cpanel box on trustix (rhel offshoot, minus bloat).
Anyone seen this before and know any way to fix it?
