TCP/IP filtering
I have recently applied TCP/IP filtering in some of my servers so as to block all connections from all the uncommon ports. I have kept open only the ports that are common like, 20, 21, 25, 80, 110, etc. and blocked all the rest. Now the problem that we are facing is that our clients are not able to connect to the FTP using any FTP client as all the FTP clients use Passive connection. Is it advisable to disable the TCP/IP filtering once it is enabled on the servers ? Please reply.
