I run a ftp server for people to dl files. Recently, I saw a couple of sites providing huge files for download like me, but instead of using ftp, they are using http. How is that possible? I mean, why wont their http port crash? I remember few yrs ago while ftp wasnt still popular, many people use http for big files downloading but everytime it will crash the http so easily and get 10060 error. Then how is that possible for those sites to use http? Also, their links are smth like: http://download.domain.com/371236871.../filename.smth, that doesnt look like a pure http link, there must be smth behind this. Can someone tell me? Or does anyone know this?? It would be really cool to know~
