one question about Mysql.

hello every body.
do you konw after updated mysql need how to input command and then it will start or stop?
because before i not update it when i input /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld start and then it will start, but i just update it from version3.23.58-9 of mysql to version 4.0.20-0.rpm of mysql and then when i input /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld start then it displayed bash: /etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld: No such file or directory.
Can you tell me i need to input what is command and then i can start my mysql server?
