A different weird FTP problem
this one isnt serious, but it is perplexing. I've given up trying to sort it out now to be honest but if anyone happens to know the answer I'd be really pleased...
I have a winXP desktop and a winXP laptop. I use both for web developing customers sites.
One such site (clientsite.com) is accessible via FTP on the laptop but not the desktop. pureFTP or proFTP servers have both been used for this with a range of FTP clients at the local end.
Obvioulsy it seems to me this is a desktop XP config issue. however, I manage over 70 seperate domains running from the same server and all of them are accessible on both desktop and laptop via FTP. It is only clientsite.com which is inaccessible from my desktop pc and there is nothing special about it in any way.
Why might this have happened and what might be causing it?
