[HDI?] Check permissions for multiple sites on Windows 2003
Hello,Thank you for taking the time to read this thread! I am hoping since there are so many knowledgeable server administrators that frequent this forum, that one would be kind enough to provide me with some information on my question regarding how to check permission settings for multiple sites on Windows 2003.
I have been granted the task of verifying that the current sites on a Windows 2003 server are set properly permissions wise. There are a few hundred of these accounts, so naturally to do them one by one would be quite a lengthy task.
The way the sites are setup is that they each have their own account folder at a specific location on the hard drive.
example:
c:\sites\customerid#
Then within their account folder they have an additional site folder or two since many times they have more than one site.
example:
c:\sites\customer123\domain1.com
c:\sites\customer123\domain2.com
All of these accounts that are hosted on this machine are running the same software so they all pretty much have the same site content structure minus file modifications or additional files and folders they may have uploaded.
With that being said, is there an easy way to check the permission settings and maybe even edit permission settings for each of the sites hosted on this server without having to view them one by one?
Also, is there a way to set or check permission settings in IIS since it appears I can only select one site at a time?
Thanks for your help and input!
