Apache 2.0.52 Won't display + serve files

Howdy,

I just recently built myself a linux box..Im running fedora core 2. Im running apache 2.0.52.

I followed the instructions

./configure
./make
./make install

Then proceeded to start apache using 'apachectl start' and it starts perfectly fine -- with no errors.

The problem is , when im logged into the server (on the desktop) and I type htp://localhost (note - i spelt http wrong because I dont have 5 posts) the server displays the "Apache" page and everything is normal, but when I try to access it from outside the server -- I cannot display any website or serve any files (test.zip..etc).

I thought it may have to do with the schools firewall blocking ports -- so i opened a few more. Still didn't work. So I now have it at home and it still doesnt work.

What could be causing this?? Is this an issue with Apache? Or could it be, when I was installing Fedora Core 2 , and I happened to block the port????

Any ideas/suggestions/comments are GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

Jesse
