Win 2003 Server -> DHCP

Hi All,

To give you a run down of the current situation:

We are running a netware box with DHCP server on it, it's current ip is 10.0.0.1 (for example purposes) and it is assigning ips to clients in the 10.0.1.0 range. We are trying to dump this server as we are moving to a windows environment. Current lease time is 90 days.

What we would like to do:

We would like to impliment a windows 2003 server with DHCP to take over the assiging of IPs.

What we have tried:

I have enabled DHCP on the 2003 server and it has a scope for the range 10.0.1.0 range. Although the scope has been created and activated, when we deactivate the old DHCP server, and release / renew and ip on a client, it is not receive any ip address. I setup a standard scope:
ip range - 10.0.1.1 to 10.0.1.200
Subnet - 255.255.0.0
Length - 16

I added the router / dns entries.

So any ideas as to where I have gone wrong ?

Cheers,

Chris
