how can i get the reason of High load ?.....
i face a very big problem...and i need you to help me...
my server is Linux Fedora core1 cPanel/WHM...single processor 2.8
lastday ...suddenly the load reach to 66 ......
when i type ps -aux ...i see nothing to care about ...some processes reach to 2.5 ot .5 ....nothing big ....after that apache faild every 5 min. i try to update it ...but always falid ....
now load is 0.25.....when i refresh i found it 1.23......another refresh give me 2.5 .....another 0.65 ....what that !!!!
when i typed : ps -aux i found that :
a7lamco 21711 6.3 0.0 0 0 ? Z 04:39 0:00 [php <defunct>]
remodx 21714 14.0 0.0 0 0 ? Z 04:39 0:00 [php <defunct>]
what is [php <defunct>] ???
how can i get the reason of High load ?.....
note: when i type netstat ...i see many connections about 200 ...
also when i open whm and check Cpuusage/mysql section ....
i found netstat -npl usage: 99% what that mean ???
