Problem with Network Drives
HiI am running Windows XP Professional and I have mapped drives to my server, which is running SBS 2003.
Several times a day, when I try to open one of these network drives I receive this error message - "Local device name is already in use. " "This connection cannot be restored."
At first if I rebooted my computer this would clear the problem, this now does not help, I tried to disconnect each of the network drives, reboot and reconnect the drives but this does not work all of the time, and is not a permanent solution for the problem.
I am not sure whether this is a problem with my desktop pc or the server. I have another 20 computers who have mapped drives to the server and they all reconnect each time without any problems.
All I have on the workstation is the Local disk (C) the cdrom drive (D) and then the network drives which are E, F, and T,
Has anyone experienced this before or know of a way to stop this from happening.
