Mysql 4.17
when i install the msi version of 4.1.7 and try to access mysql via phpmyadmin i'm unable to access.
i'm getting access denied error even with root for username and a blank password.
any idea as to why?
i tired specifying a password for root by doing this:
mysql\bin> mysqladmin -u root password set-root-password-here
this does not work.
please help.
any help on how to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated.
