Cutting down costs

Hello,

We are trying to cut down costs, so I was thinking about the management company we are working today.

Our 4 Dual Xeon are being managed by LinuxCareCenter at the monthly plan. We are paying something around U$350.00 /monthly for all of them to manage them monthly.

I dont know if I need the server at the monthly plan of any company or if its more cost-effective to hire those companies to update and secure the whole server once a month or one time in 2 months or so.

My questions are:

1) I use a Dual Xeon 2.8 with dual 73GB SCSI and cPanel, how long is reasonable for not critical updates that cPanel will alert ?

2) Do I need people managing it all the time ? Or I will spend less money if they do it once a month, or one time each 6 months, or so

3) I open +/- 15 tickets every month for these 4 servers that I cannot fix without a management company, maybe paying per hour or per tickets could worth a lot

4) Which companies do you guys use and how much do they charge per hour and one time to secure and update the server ?

Thank you.
