Name servers failsafe

Looking for clarification on name servers. I have two virtual hosts in two data centers. Virtual one has, for discussion purposes, ns1.virtone.com and ns2.virtone.com for name servers. I also have name servers, ns1.virttwo.com and ns2.virttwo.com with another host geographically separate. Now I have a dedicated IP with an email and web server on it at yet another location. I want to setup a DNS zone for exampledomain.com on Virtual one (ns1.virtone.com, ns2.virtone.com) resolving to IP. For the same domain, I would also like to setup another set of name servers that reflect ns1.virtttwo.com and ns2.virttwo.com again with a zone that points to IP. In other words the Whois for exampledomain.com would reflect: ns1.virtone.com, ns2.virtone.com, ns1.virttwo.com and ns2.vrittwo.com.

If I understand name servers correctly, this setup should work and also act as a failsafe in case either virtual name server goes down. I understand that I am still dependant on the IP but that is another issue for another time. Does anyone have any comments on this or see any potential problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
