mysql installation problem

OK, i am installing mysql staright out of the .tar.gz

I am getting this error


[root@ipex scripts]# ./mysql_install_db --user=mysql
./mysql_install_db: line 86: my_print_defaults: command not found
Could not find help file 'fill_help_tables.sql' in ./support-files or inside ..
[root@ipex scripts]#
