Hi, I just got a new server with RHE installed, and just found out it uses a 2.4 kernel with 2.6 features instead of the actual 2.6 kernel. I noticed it was missing mostly the revamped io. Has anyone benchmarked the speed difference? I've read a while ago in slashdot that the 2.6 kernel gave an overall 50% performance increase compared to 2.4. What can be expected from RHE's 2.4 kernel?
