outlook & address books, help me I'm new to this (more inside)

I have a sizable mailing list for my website and I used to BCC all the recipients whenever I sent out a news email (I would send it to myself). However, eventually the list grew too large and Outlook would refuse to send the emails, even if I then split them up into chunks. The solution was to use an email alias which would contain all of the addresses on the server, so whenever I sent an email to that alias it would then send it out to all the recipients. The inherent problem with that is that anyone can send an email to that alias, even spammers, resulting in all of our recipients getting spam "from us". Apparently it's not possible to limit who can send mail to a certain address (that is, only a@b.com can send an email to c@b.com), so I have to look elsewhere, particularly either a script or an address book.

Here's my question about Outlook's address book: how can I create a list of emails and then send out a message to everyone on that list, while only sending out 1 physical email?
