RedHat Linux Fileserver...
I can find the linuxbox on my WinXP PC but when I try to acces it, It says : Localhost not accessible... (and then someting about not having admin rights...)
Windows (admin user) :
User : bart
paswoord : test
I'm running samba and this is the config (In the KDE GUI):
Linux Samba Settings :
Samba Users :
Linux Username : bart (created the same as on XP)
Windows Username : bart
windows pasword : test
confirm pass : test
Samba Server Settings :
BASIC :
Workgroup : flexo
Description : RedHat9
SECURITY:
Authentication mode : Domain / Server / Share / User (Server I guess or Not ?)
Authentication server : ????? (Dunno what to fill in, only when server is selected)
Encrypt passwords : No
Guest Account : No guest account
Samba Share :
BASIC :
Directory : /usr
Description : USER
Permissions : Read/Write
Access : Allow acces to everyone
(smb service is started, any other services necesary?)
What is wrong ?
Please help... Tried several google's and samba manuals...
Kinda N00b isn't it...
