Running email connections of port 80 or 443, possible?
I'd like to know if it is possible to setup a non-standard implementation for email to be sent and received over ports 80 and 443? I know these are the ports for http and https, however, I have my reasons for this.
I have a server available I could set up for testing running FreeBSD, or I could install another OS if needed.
I would need the server to respond on both the normal ports and these alternative ports too.
I've heard that MS Outlook 2003 can do this with Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003.
Any ideas, tips, or links to further help would be appreciated.
