Hello i'm on dedicated server and 2 days ago i need to change pass for one user. Login with root (via ssh) and type "passwd username", and when after this i check password was changed just for control panel (DirectAdmin).

But unfortunately, password for ftp don't changed.

Via DA, i check i have only defualt FTP connection for that user. But there isn't any option to change password. Just to delete or create new connection.

But i don't need to create new connection, as the new user login will be "username@domain.com", and as i understand i cann't delete defualt ftp connection.

I'm on linux server.

check this files, but unfortunately don't find any password here.

ftppasswd=/etc/proftpd.passwd
ftpconfig=/etc/proftpd.conf
ftpvhosts=/etc/proftpd.vhosts.conf
ftppasswd=/etc/proftpd.passwd
any advice will be appreciated
