FTP Trojan Nightmare

Ok, here's the story: I have two old ASP driven sites I wrote back in 1996 before I started using PHP/Linux combo. Anyway they were on a Windows reseller plan but the provider blew up, or got wet and shrunk into nothingness or something.

Anyhoo, today I sign up for a new provider and they are nice enough to speedily get me going. I go to ftp files up and nothing. Change to passive mode, still nothing. Mess with settings, still nothing. Their answer to my ticket is it's a firewall issue. So like a good monkey I turn off the firewall whilst I transfer up the sites.

The whole time I am transferring, Norton is blocking incoming traffic like an NHL goalie on crack (were they to actually be having a season this year -- sniff). Trojans. Tons of them. All different kinds! Here's a tidbit of the log:

Master Paradise Trojan horse blocked
WinCrash Trojan horse blocked
DeepThroat Trojan horse blocked
Bugs Trojan horse blocked
TransScout blocked
Backdoor/SubSeven Trojan horse blocked
ShockRave Trojan horse blocked
Spy Sender Trojan horse blocked
Shiva Burka Trojan horse blocked
Extreme Trojan horse blocked
RASmin Trojan horse blocked
Bla Trojan horse blocked
Filenail Trojan horse blocked
SubSeven 2.1/2.2 Trojan horse blocked
WinCrash Trojan horse blocked

So, the question is - should I run screaming from this company? Is this box I'm on infected with every trojan under the sun and stars? It's time to just convert the sites over and will be doing that when I get some time, but WOW - never experienced anything like that before...
