Server load - what's too high?
Then...what's considered a high load on a server? My servers seem to run between .2 and .5 depending on time of day. I was on a VPS for a while that had a load more like 4 or 5 but it was very slow. My laptop says that its load average is .02, but it's a pretty high end machine that's only for my personal use.
So...what's a high load? An average load? At what point do I need to go buy another server to offset the load?
