Yet another Streaming server question

Hello all,

I'm hoping for some advice. I'm not a complete newbie but trying to find a solution to this is doing my head in.

Someone in Austrailia is going to send me a broadcast of a football match (rights etc have been granted). They have a good enough connection to send the live match to my server but thats it. So, in order to support around 10-20, maybe up to 40 listeners, I plan to use a quality VPS to act as a "gateway", utilising it's bandwidth. I receive the encoded stream and send it out to my viewers.

It's coming out of my pocket so I want to keep costs down, so licensing Real (the basic version only supports 10 people) isn't really an option.

Darwin Streaming Server (for RedHat) seems like a good option but I'm not sure how I get the stream (which will already be encoded) out to the internet. Can DSS take an encoded stream and send it out this way? If so, what formats does it support for input and can I specify an URL or something similar?

Additonally, are there any other possible solutions? I have no windows boxes, so Windows streaming is probably out of the question.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
