SSL certs quirks and technical issues
Im new to the whole Linux hosting deal. I bought an exsting hoster and am now finally pretty comfortable with the issues that arise. The one thing that I recently found is that SSL certs are often quite problematic.
I have an admin who has never used more than one cert at a time on linux and we were having problems gettting a second one to work on our server. Now he has determined (not sure how accurate the determination is) that each fully qualified cert for a domain must have its own ip address?
For example. I used the WHM option "Install an SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain" and purchased a starter cert through a freessl reseller.
I applied it to a domain on the server and every domains SSL cert now loaded this SSL cert.
Is it true I need to apply each cert to a different IP?
