huge server loads on dual xeon
Specs:Dual Xeon 2.4GHz HT
2GB ECC Memory
250GB IDE (30% used)
cPanel / Fedora Core 2
Code:
User Domain %CPU %MEM Mysql Processes root 127.50 32.50 2.0 Top Process %CPU 92.0 /usr/sbin/grpck Top Process %CPU 91.9 /usr/sbin/grpck Top Process %CPU 91.8 /usr/sbin/grpck
I ran chattri +i grpck to disable it (I hope I did it right). It didn't seem to fix anything (waited over half hour for it to drop in stats, nothing).
I have nightly cPanel backups as well. My crontab -e shows this:
2,58 * * * * /usr/local/bandmin/bandmin
0 0 * * * /usr/local/bandmin/ipaddrmap
*/15 * * * * /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/bin/dnsqueue > /dev/null 2>&1
0 6 * * * /scripts/exim_tidydb > /dev/null 2>&1
38 0 * * * /scripts/upcp
0 1 * * * /scripts/cpbackup
*/5 * * * * /usr/local/cpanel/bin/dcpumon >/dev/null 2>&1
My server is in NY time zone (GMT -5). I would like backup to start at 3am instead. What should the setting be in cron?
Also, another process taking crazy loads
Code:
User Domain %CPU %MEM Mysql Processes nobody 99.78 0.20 0.0 Top Process %CPU 99.8 -bash
Thanks for your help
