RAID LEVEL 1 or 5

Ok, so heres my dilemma, I have a high spec new server to add as a single server hsphere system for hosting.

It has 4x 160Gb SATA disks controlled by a 3ware 9500 controller (<- truly awesome piece of kit). Now do I set it up to be a raid 5 (3disk array) with a hot-spare, or do I set it up to be a 2x 2disk rad 1 setup so as to try and split the disk read.

What have you peeps done before and how has it affected server performance and disaster recovery.
