I recently got given an ex-server from a friend with a botched linux install. He wants me to clean it up for me, said it was compromised, and it needed the key system files replacing, I've upgraded it to the latest kernel, but how do I go about finding and replacing the key files that have been compromised ? I'm sure I need to replace Init, just not sure how.
