2 cpanel/whm servers - how to ns1 and ns2?
I currently have 2 cpanel servers - a redhat 9 and a redhat se3. When I got the first server I set it up as both ns1.slotbox.com and ns2.slotbox.com. Even though it has only one IP address, both nameservers have resolved and are working. Since I got the second server, which is clustered with the first, I would like to make it ns2 for redundancy. How can I make ns2 resolve to the second server instead of the first, as it does now?
Optionally, if it's too difficult to make the change now that ns2 has resolved over the Internet, I figured I could make the second server ns3 instead, and simply use ns1 and ns3 for resolving domains. However, I thought I had done that but 2 days now and ns3 doesn't seem to be resolving. I may be missing something, I don't know.
Can anyone offer some pointers?
