Server or cluster

I need to make a choice between if to carry on running a different copy of plesk on each server, no redundancy... each server to its own...

Or: setting up a cluster system with a spread of servers on top of a filer device on top of an scsi storage array.

I know all the pros and cons of a cluster system, but my worry is with the future of storage.

If i invest in a system of this sort, im talking about a good fifty grand here, so i dont want to buy it, and year down the line have to either replace it or spend a lot of money on it because the "genius" people behind the ideas have come up with something better.

Can anyone shed any light on the possible future of all the elements in this type of system? Im not rich and my company is not massive so buying into this sort of system would involve lending.

Dont get me wrong i WILL get professional consultation into this matter, and i dont mean a visit from a netapp sales bloke, i mean consultation, so obviously this thread wont secure this desicion, BUT i do know how much some of you know so was hoping to benefit from it, i just want to know if any of you are sceptical about this idea because of any possible changes in the market.

Cheers.
